特朗普发起与真正超级智能无关的“超级智能部队”

唐纳德·特朗普总统宣布成立“超级智能部队”（SIF）。“超级智能”是特朗普对人工智能的称呼。在人工智能研究领域，超级智能或人工超级智能（ASI）是一个已有数十年历史的概念，指的是能够自我改进且远超人类智能的系统。这并非我们今天所拥有的AI，但一旦超级智能到来，它可能会为自己起一个更好的名字。

该部门将负责协调与消费者、利益集团、宗教组织、关键基础设施运营商以及人工智能公司的联络工作。情报总监杰伊·克莱顿、联邦贸易委员会主席安德鲁·弗格森、研究副部长埃米尔·迈克尔、首席技术官斯科特·库珀以及其他政府官员将领导SIF。它直接向总统和幕僚长苏西·威尔斯汇报。

这一宣布紧随此前在白宫举行的科技首席执行官会议之后，会上高管们签署了一份“道德约束力”合同，承诺由独立的第三方审计机构验证人工智能模型是否“按预期运行”。

President Donald Trump has announced the creation of a "Super Intelligence Force" (SIF). "Superintelligence" is Trump's term for artificial intelligence. In AI research, superintelligence, or Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), has been an established concept for decades, referring to self-improving systems that vastly surpass human intelligence. That's not the AI we have today, but superintelligence will probably come up with an even better name for itself once it arrives.

The unit will coordinate outreach to consumers, interest groups, religious organizations, critical infrastructure operators, and AI companies. Intelligence director Jay Clayton, FTC chair Andrew Ferguson, undersecretary for research Emil Michael, CTO Scott Kupor, and other government officials will lead the SIF. It reports directly to the president and chief of staff Susie Wiles.

The announcement follows a recent tech CEO gathering at the White House where executives signed a "morally binding" contract for independent third-party auditors to verify that AI models are "operating as intended."
